The dwarf line of rats here is still very small. In mid-2005, I had a dwarf buck shipped from Washington state. OFR Datura, also known as Jimmy the Dwarf, sired 1 litter with DCR Bathory Aria in May of 2006. She produced 7 babies, 4 of which have been bred. The others were placed in pet homes. Jimmy has since passed away, but he had 2 dwarf grandkids, one residing at Silver Fuzz Rattery and the other residing here (DCR Karma Police). Conformation was decent but needed some work. Because dwarf rats are overbred out west, Jimmy's line was not as healthy as it should have been. I decided to end this part of the line due to it's poor health.
In June 2008, I had 4 gorgeous dwarf rats shipped in from Oregon. There are 2 Burmese, 1 black dumbo and a mink dumbo. They are all very nice dwarves and 2 of the females have given me litters. The 3rd female never got pregnant, so she is retired. I'll add pictures of dwarves shortly.
